Celebrating Female Artists

In recognition and celebration of International Women’s Day March 8th, this month we bring you a collection of art cases from female artist stretching throughout western art history.

While Western art has never been entirely absent of women it has never been an easy or equal path to forge.  In the words of one of our featured artists Berthe Morisot: “I don’t think there has ever been a man who treated a woman as an equal and that’s all I would have asked for, for I know I’m worth as much as they”.

So, we celebrate them and share their amazing work so that more people can become aware of and enjoy their worthy talent.

March Birth Flower: Daffodil

One of the first blooms breaking through as winter ends, the trumpets of the daffodil herald the spring and have come to represent new beginnings and rebirth.  They are seen as positive and hopeful, white petals are seen as peaceful and forgiving while yellow are considered auspicious and full of energy.

The daffodil became the national flower of Wales in the
19th century and they are now worn each year on March 1st for St David’s day.

One of our daffodil eco phone cases will remind you every
day that winter is over and there is a new future emerging ahead of you.
